Nigeria's tech talent development takes a significant leap forward with the announcement of Community Managers for the 3 Million Mentor, Teacher and Trainer (3MTT) Initiative. Following the N1 billion partnership with IHS Nigeria, the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation & Digital Economy has unveiled 37 dedicated individuals to manage and guide program participants across all Nigerian states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

This marks a crucial milestone in empowering Nigeria's tech potential. The Community Managers will be instrumental in supporting participants as they navigate the IHS Nigeria-designed Learning Platform, ensuring they maximize their learning experience.

Public-Private Synergy Drives Digital Transformation:

Expressing his enthusiasm for the collaboration, Dr. 'Bosun Tijani, the Honourable Minister, podkreślił znaczenie współpracy publiczno-prywatnej w krajowej podróży cyfrowej transformacji. He emphasized the importance of public-private collaboration in the nation's digital transformation journey, highlighting this partnership as the first of many to achieve the goal of making Nigeria a net exporter of tech talent, as outlined in the Strategic Blueprint.

IHS Nigeria's commitment goes beyond funding. The company will cover the salaries of all 37 Community Managers, demonstrating their dedication to the initiative. Additionally, their Learning Platform will serve as a cornerstone for talent development efforts.

IHS Nigeria Aligns with National and Sustainability Goals:

Mohamad Darwish, CEO of IHS Nigeria, reaffirmed the company's alignment with the President's Renewed Hope Agenda and the Minister's Strategic Plan. He further emphasized how the initiative resonates with their education sustainability pillar, recognizing that investment in digital skills fosters a skilled workforce, driving job creation, innovation, business growth, and economic diversification.

This initiative complements IHS's recent achievement of rolling out over 10,000 kilometers of fiber optic cables nationwide. This infrastructure expansion aims to improve broadband quality and access to next-generation digital services for all Nigerians.

Building a Prosperous Future through Tech Empowerment:

As the 3MTT Initiative gains momentum, anticipation grows for the impact of the Community Managers. Their dedication will empower Nigeria's tech talents, shaping a brighter future for the nation's digital landscape.

In essence, this news highlights the collaborative effort between the Nigerian government and IHS Nigeria to propel the country's tech talent development through the 3MTT Initiative. The selection of Community Managers and IHS Nigeria's N1 billion contribution mark significant steps towards achieving the initiative's goals and contributing to Nigeria's digital transformation journey.
