PHYSICS: Measurement
PRECISION AND ACCURACY
Precision refers to the level of consistency or closeness of repeated measurements or results to each other. In other words, precision quantifies the degree of agreement between repeated measurements. For example, 2.10cm and 2.12cm are close to each other while 2.10 and 2.90cm are not.
Accuracy, on the other hand, refers to the closeness of measurements or predictions to the supposed true or expected value. It measures how well the measurements or predictions reflect the actual or desired value. For example 2.10 is close to 2.00cm while 3.15cm is not, if the expected result is 2.00cm.PHYSICS: Measurement PRECISION AND ACCURACY Precision refers to the level of consistency or closeness of repeated measurements or results to each other.
