Alona Bohoslavets was born in Chernivtsi on July 19, 1985, in a family of technical professionals. But technical professions did not attract Alona at school - she was fascinated by biology, especially - genetics. This encouraged Alona Bohoslavets to apply to the Bukovinian State Medical University in 2002 after finishing school. During her studies, Alona paid particular attention to studying biological processes of human aging, their causes and ways to combat them, epigenetics, and peculiarities of the work of signaling molecules in the cells of the aging body. Since no comprehensive research on preserving youth and longevity was conducted at her alma mater, Alona Bohoslavets focused on dermatology as an accessible area of research on age-related changes in cells. To this end, during her studies, she underwent an internship at the Department of Dermatology at the Bukovinian Dermatology and Venereology Dispensary. And after graduation, she chose dermatology and venereology at the Bogomolets National Medical University in Kyiv for her internship.
